Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 27, 2026

Duets Learning operates Duets Sessions, an online learning service based in the United States. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit duetssessions.com, create an account, purchase a course or use our learning services.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: your name, email address, account identifier and sign-in information. If you choose Google sign-in, our sign-in service receives the information needed to create or authenticate your account.
  • Learning records: enrollments, lesson progress, quiz answers and scores, reflections, notes, bookmarks, certificates and assignment submissions, including uploaded documents and instructor or AI feedback.
  • Community activity: comments and replies, reviews, live-session reservations and questions, and assignment work you choose to share.
  • Purchases: purchased courses, amounts, discounts, payment status, refund information and payment references. Stripe processes card details; our application does not store your full card number or security code.
  • Communications and technical information: inquiries you send us, related correspondence, and diagnostic information used to investigate errors and maintain the service. Hosting and payment providers may also process technical information such as IP addresses and browser details.

2. How we use information

We use information to manage accounts, provide purchased access, save learning work, assess assignments and quizzes, issue certificates, support discussions and bookings, process purchases and refunds, respond to inquiries, protect the service and understand course participation. We also send service-related messages, such as account verification, password resets and enrollment confirmations.

Where applicable data-protection laws require a legal basis, these activities may rely on providing the service you requested, complying with legal obligations, legitimate interests in operating a secure learning service, or consent where required.

3. Who can see your information

Private reflections and notes are associated with your account and are not posted to other learners. Authorized administrators and instructors can access records needed to operate the service, support learners and review submitted work. Discussion posts are visible to other authorized participants. Reviews and work you choose to submit for public display may become public; reviews require approval. Public certificate links display the learner name, course and completion details to anyone with the link.

We use service providers for hosting, account authentication, secure storage, email, payment processing and optional AI feedback, including Lovable Cloud, Lovable-managed services and Stripe. Information needed for these tasks is processed by those providers. We may disclose information to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable safeguards.

4. Optional AI assignment feedback

When you request AI feedback, the submitted document or extracted text, together with relevant lesson instructions, is sent through Lovable’s AI service to an AI provider. The resulting feedback is saved with your submission. Do not include sensitive personal information, confidential business material or someone else’s personal data unless you have permission and it is necessary for the assignment.

AI feedback can be inaccurate and does not replace instructor acceptance. Provider processing is subject to the provider’s terms and privacy practices; this policy does not promise that AI providers retain no information.

5. Cookies and browser storage

The service uses browser storage to keep you signed in and protect reflection drafts from being lost. Interface preferences may also use cookies. Stripe may use cookies and similar technologies for payment processing, security and fraud prevention. These functions are different from advertising tracking.

The current application does not include advertising trackers. You can manage cookies and site storage in your browser. Blocking or clearing necessary storage may sign you out, remove locally saved drafts or prevent parts of the service from working. If we introduce optional tracking that requires consent, we will provide the appropriate choice before using it.

6. Retention and security

We retain information as needed to provide your account and learning services, maintain purchase and completion records, meet legal obligations and resolve disputes. Retention varies by record type and purpose; this policy does not set a fixed deletion period. Backups and provider logs may follow separate retention schedules.

We use access controls and private storage for protected learning records and uploaded work. No online service can guarantee complete security. Keep your sign-in details private and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

7. Your choices and rights

You can update available account details, manage browser storage and download completed reflections and certificates through the site. To request access, correction, a copy or deletion of personal information, or to raise a privacy concern, use our contact form. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or complain to a data-protection authority. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security or transaction-record purposes. Removing account information may affect access to learning records.

8. International processing and children

Our business is based in the United States. Service providers may process information in the United States or other countries, where privacy laws may differ. Applicable transfer safeguards are required where relevant law calls for them.

The service is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review and address it.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest version. We will provide additional notice of material changes where required. For questions or privacy requests, contact Duets Sessions.
